Yup, red brown for the seat.

You should also leave off the flare rack that goes on the front of the seat.

Cockpit is slowly progressing:

I ordered some HGW seat belts and once those arrive I will get working on the seat. Now I know why people build Tamiya kits. I'm loving this kit.

Thanks Harvey and Mark! I played with some red and brown, this is the result:

I think it's close enough to photos that after a bit of weathering and seat belts it'll look the part.

The cockpit looks great there and the same goes for the seat colour.

Can't wait to see it with the HGW belts added.

Looks a wee bit too light on my monitor. Ditto with HGW/RB belts. I think the kit PE belts are too stiff looking and a bit over-scaled.

Great progress!

It looks a bit darker in person and I'll attempt to weather it a bit darker too.

Inside of the cockpit, not much light will be on the seat, so IMHO I wouldn't dark it too much. It's like RLM66 on german cockpits. The actual RLM 66 is quite dark, and I use to light it up with a lighter shade of gray, because when the fuselage is glued together, there won't be much light inside.

I would hit it with some clear gloss. IIRC, the seats did have a bit of a shine.....Harv
