BTW, you can still find them as Hasegawa re-released a few not too long ago. Amazon 1/8 Fokker. Has plastic instead of wood props.

Cant wait for progress pics!

If it works out then yeah why not meet? I'll ask Ripaman to join too.

Well I did get some building in this weekend. Most of the engine is together and painted. I have fine copper wire to run plug wires, maybe tonight I'll get to it.  All paint is MM metalizer.   Thae crank case is stainless, cylinders burnt metal and valve rockers gun metal.  I sprayed the copper intake manifolds with a little burnt umber to make them look heat checked.  The rear crank case is very confusing in the instructions because it bounces around between motorized and non motorized and the poor English makes if very hard to figure out what is what. Lots of time to figure that all out. This is the first bit in the instructions but the very last thing to be mounted on the airframe. I also need to find a good image of the name plate on the crank case and print one. They don't get you a decal for this for some reason.

Hope you like.

Thanks for looking

Thanks Kev,

Still some work to be done like a pin wash on all the bolts, plug wires and some little bits to add yet.

Ron,

That engine is striking. Given some castor oil, fuel and a spark of electricity, I bet it would belch smoke and start turning.

It's that realistic!

It's either you, or the MM metalizer...  Looks sweet!

Super cool Ron. I'm pulling up a chair and I'll be following along as much as possible. I have this kit as well so this will be great fun to sit in on.

Cheers,
Wolf
