Hi All,

One of my long distance projects: PZL. 43A from Mirage Hobby, started about two years ago...

Tough kit, lot of fitting problems, brittle plastic and unclear instructions - but if you want to build one, this is the only way. Hope the result will be worth the effort.

Going to build it in the Polish Air Force markings, just as it looked like in September 1939.

Here you will find two photos: Odkrywca.pl

Feel free to comment and stay tuned.

Best regards

The kit looks like it will build up into something very attractive; shame about the engineering, though! Looks like you're handling it pretty well, at any rate.

Thanks, Mates.

This is such a kit, that brings a new surprise each time you take it on your workbench... this will take few minutes to correct, I hope.

Looking good Hubert. I really like the engine, and the cockpit looks great too.

Thanks, Mates :)

Not much of the engine will be seen when its finished, but you're right - it is one of the best points of this kit.

Cowling corrected and installed, the model starts to take shape.

Hope you like it :).

Six months ... went quickly like it was six days.

Added some PE details from Aber, glued the engine cover in place (fit is tight) and starting to finish the interior.

Oh, the interwar years were full of ugly aircraft.  Nice work on the engine.

Both Oscars slowed down again...

However, managed to make the overlapping panels and prime the airframe. The effect is so delicate that it is barely visible on the photos, so didn't post them.

Hope to get back to it soon, now I'm trying to finish the Spitfire.

Thanks for comments, best regards :)

Hi, All

Small progress, but slowly approaching the painting stage ...

Now working on the etched details (Eduard's set for PZL.23B) and transparent parts, there are many small windows, especially on the underside of the plane.

The engine cowling still needs some attention, wasn't easy to fit the engine inside (the fit is very tight) resulting with a small gap between the cowling parts.

Best regards
