I can't wait to see you sand finish. It looked great on your P39 and P40N
One thing about that nose is he angled the exhaust opening so now it's not perpendicular to the spinner backplate.
Not sure why but too hard to fix.

Cockpit about done. I used the kit floor and sidewalls but True Details seat, instrument panel and headrest/armor.

Sweet IP John! It's always the most interesting bit of the cockpit IMHO.

John,

Great cockpit. Are the gauges painted and the numbers picked out in white, or is it a decal or individual decals?  I was wondering why we haven't seen an update from you recently.

Joel.

Thanks Joel. The dials were picked out with a white pencil. Works well! :)

John,

Thanks for the tip. I just put White, Red, and Yellow colored pencils on my needs list. Fortunately, a big box art supply store opened in my local shopping center. So all sorts of artist supplies are a 5 min walk for me.

You might want to get a silver one also.

Cowling is together. Next step is mating it to the fuselage and lower wing.

John,

the cowling sub assembly looks real good, as does the detailed radiator.

Hi John

The front office and IP  - look fantastic. Looking forward to the cowling photo update after it is attached to the fuselage.

Keep 'em coming

Peter

That's looking good.  Always had a soft spot for the P-40.

Looking good, John, but you need to pick an aircraft with the good tailart!

Curtiss_Warhawk_P40F_X17_034.jpg

Yes, I know this is a long-tail, but I believe they had them on some short-tails, too.

Yeah, I'd love to do a "checker tail" like Gordon Austin's "Lighthouse Louie" !!!

One day I'll get to it when I have time to build....
