I remember seeing photos of the streaky decals in the earlier D.VII kit. As I recall, they didn't look all that great to me, much like the AM Fokker Dr.I streaky decals that I also remember seeing around the same time. I personally believe the modeler is way better off doing his own, but that's just me.

I think you have the streaky decals Kev,  I sent you all my DVII decals with the kit I sent you.  Pretty sure they were in there.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

That's entirely possible, Ron. I haven't looked inside there in quite a while. I'll dig it out and have a look-see.

I was going to procrastinate tonight, but decided to wait.

Given the fit of WNW decals, I'd suspect the streaky decals are a decent baseline for an early machine. Paint-wise, you'd simply be replicating the effects from the Dr-1. If you are doing an early plane, and need some streakies for your build, PM me.

I have gone and done it. I have finally given in to the plastic pornography that is Wingnut Wings. I pre-ordered the Fokker D(amn).VII. There is no longer any hope for me, I am truly lost to my addiction. This is officially the most money I have ever paid for a model kit. (Whimper)

Edit: You're gonna laugh, but I found a better deal from a friend, and I am attempting to cancel the pre-order! Yay! All is not lost....

This happened to me at the end of last year and so pleased I gave in, currently building a HB W.29 and have a couple of others in the stash. Awesome kits.

Are you talking to me here, Mike?

It's a decision you are sure not to regret.

Yes.

Well, I was supposed to check the kit that I got from Ron, and when I did, forgot to mention here that there were some streak decals in there, as far as I recall now, so no, I won't need any, but thanks very much for the offer.
