Iain
Structural work pretty well done now - just one section to add at rear of rear rudder pedal/joystick location. Seats dry fitted in place - may reduce height of rear, need to check photos of Grace type two-seaters. Rear padding added to seats from Milliput - seat cushion 'blanks' also from Milliput, with more detail to be added. Control columns still free to move on mounts - so leaning back alarmingly at the moment! Next up a good wash to get rid of the sanding dust and we can get some paint on - should start to look a lot better then! Iain
Looking better with base coat of RAF interior Grey Green - ties everything together: One thing I have noticed over the weekend - the rudder pedals in the two-seaters are cut down - so will need to modify these. Spent most of the weekend in bed with flu so not a lot more done - hoping to make a start on the patterns for new canopy next weekend. Have fun! Iain
Thanks both - not sure about 'flying' on this one Harv - but definately on the down-hill leg now... BTW - if anyone's interested I've been using my website to store the images - which means there's a growing gallery of images relating to the build in one place. Blue skies! KiwiZac
I genuinely love each update and batch of photos of this project, Iain. It's truly inspirational to see all the work you're putting into this. One of my favourite build threads for sure.
chuck540z3
Silly me for missing this. I'm so wrapped up in my own little Spitfire world I didn't notice your terrific thread right next door. You are a brave man Iain! One cockpit was enough work for me, but two? Model on! Cheers, Chuck Dpgsbody55

Iain
Thanks guys... I had mentioned starting on the canopy moulds this weekend - but still not well enough to fondle plastic yet - maybe next week. To anyone that's sent me messages in the last week - I will get back to you, but maybe not for a few more days. Iain
