Brian posted a pic of a T.8M which has the cutout flaps, as the 9, and Phil states in his T.7 thread some of the trainers later in life were powered by the Avon 200, as per the 9. So you could get away with a 9 for a later service bird, but need a 6 for an earlier one.

What version of the Revell kit is suitable for the T.8M. Would it be the F.6 or FGA.9?

I believe from what ive seen/read (and if someone knows better please correct me) either or will work, as Paul has included a resin replacement tail cone.

Cheers,
Brian

James - For preference I'd start with an F Mk 6 as that has the corrected ailerons and flaps without cut-outs (although it would appear some had cut-outs later in service...). Failing that - not that much more work converting a 9.

PhilB - indeedy - but 100 series for Brit T Mk 8/8M - hence comment. Aware XE531 had 200 - but I've always been under impression all other RAF/RN twin-stick Hunters were 100 series?

Iain

Can anyone let us know when orders to the UK are going to be fulfilled, ordered 16 May and no shipping confirmation as yet?

Regards, Neil

Guys, Paul has always been great about customer service. I might suggest posting the questions in the Fisher forums or if possible Id suggest even calling him, or sending him a direct E-mail.

Not sure what the hold up is but I feel confident Paul will straighten things out.

Cheers,
Brian
