Thanks Jack for the photos!

The blue aotake looks fantastic on the Jack gear legs.

Don't want to bug you but that George would make for a great trio of classics!

The choice of OOB is perfect to show how great those kits are!

Alain

PS recently passed on those 2 kits at a show for $20 each...:(

Now, we just need to see Jack's Jack, up on jacks, with a headphone jack. That would be Jacked.

Now that's JACKED!!!!

Thank You and Your Welcome Alain.  It's Model Master  Interior Metallic Blue,  It's so cool I'm painting my custom 59 Cadillac with it.

I'm at a point I'm not sure I can finish A 1/72 ANIGRAND KC-10 & B-47 by next March, but the George has been calling my name

I agree about building it OOB  It's like a history lesson for the YOUNGSTER'S.

Never let then get bye you, they are worth the money especially at $20 each.  You can scratch-build the cockpit and change the push-rod

tubes and add plug wire to the engine or close up the cowling and detail the gear well or go gearup. With the recessed lines and rivets you

have now created a great model with a little easy scratch-built parts

Nice work mate two very neat classic builds.

Guy

Thank You Guy,  If this GB hadn't come along I don't know when I would have enjoyed these two builds. Never really paid attention

to Japanese aircraft, partially because they couldn't keep paint on them .Discovering the Captured Japanese Fighters has had me

learning a whole new subject.and now I want to do a 5 plane collection

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the info on the MM paint.

As for the kits, my reasoning at the time was "Oh, how the value of those kits has dropped now that there are new ones on the market!" I have to admit I knew next to nothing about their quality or accuracy.

I did get another one though: the Revell Ki-43, also for $20. I got that one because I had never heard of it and it looked pretty good too: raised panels and rivets, but finely done.

I AM tempted...

What are the other two in your 5 plane collection?

   Hello Alain,

     Love that color, no problem

That is pretty normal unless you're an old fart like me.

We knew back then and wondered why the recess lines and rivets disappeared for 20 years.

I have the Hasegawa KI-43 Oscar and the Swallow Ki-84  Frank to round out my 5.

I could add a  N1K2  in Japanese colors but with Stars & Bars  and Ki-44 Tojo to make 7.

I'm only missing the Ki-44 Tojo but it's on Ebay.....Who Knows...I do know I have to get on that KC-10 SOON!!
