BloorwestSiR
Hi Carl Nice progress on both the Spit's cockpit and the pilot figure. The front office rear bulkhead and piping looks spot on the money. Air brushing the skin tones on the pilot really seems to blend things in wonderfully. From my very limited and rather unsuccessful ventures into figures, the eyes are the key - looking mighty good. Keep 'em coming Peter Thanks Peter! I knew the eyes were going to be the challenge for me so I'm happy with how they turned out.
BloorwestSiR
Great work on both the cockpit and the pilot! He is very youthful looking, which is exactly what they were. Cheers, Mike Thanks Mike. Most of them certainly were young, that's for sure.
BloorwestSiR
I got a bit more done tonight on both planes. On Grey Nurse, I started with the upper belt harnesses rust would go from the the pilot to the rear bulkhead. For these,I used the kit PE belts and cut them to fit. Here they are in place along with the finished pilot. With the cockpit finally complete, I closed up the fuselage. The fuselage was then attached to the wings. With the XVI in the background and the VII fuselage being worked on. BloorwestSiR
On the VII, I added some details to the pressure bulkhead using the photos in the How To book. Mine isn't as detailed but I'm happy with the results. I then finished up the cockpit sidewalls. I then did a dry fit to make sure it went together without any issues. Now for some final painting and it'll be ready to be closed up. mpk, MikeC and Vandy 1 VX 4
BloorwestSiR
After a quick coat of interior green, I ran the belt anchoring wires from the back of the harness and through the bulkhead. Then it was time to install everything and close up the fuselage. mpk, Shaka HI, F`s are my favs and 1 other

BloorwestSiR
Really crisp work, Carl. Cockpit looks terrific. Jim Thanks Jim! In case you're wondering, I did attach the upper part of the control stick. I noticed it when looking at the pics. But thankfully glued it in place before closing up the fuselage. BloorwestSiR
With the fuselage closed up, I started on the main wing. With that attached to the fuselage, it was time for a family pic: The Grey Nurse VIII is in the top left, beside that is the XVI, the 22 is on the guy left and the HF VII IS on the right. Now for tailplanes and rudders Carl cib2265, mpk, dennismcc and 2 others
LSP_Kevin
Terrific work, Carl. I haven't been keeping up as well as usual lately, but I really like what you've done with the new bulkhead. Kev mpk and Shaka HI
