Soooo...... Moderators, any thoughts on the next group build?

Nothing has been mentioned as far as I am aware, I spose we could take some suggestions. Just keep in mind kit availability in 1/32 when making a suggestion. Not picking on you Joe, but experimental aircraft might be hard to do as a GB in 1/32 as there aren't a lot of choices. Granted, more than there was 10 years ago, but it's still limited.

We still never had one of the "continental" topics- "Africa" or "Sub-Saharan Africa" and "Central+Latin America".

Plenty of flying stuff there. Stringbags, props, jets. Also a good way to build a lot of Italeries Mirage IIIE. Do you know how many countries at both continents operated the Mirage III/5? If we do not cut out the WW2 in North Africa we even could have German, Italian, British, US and French stuff. Latin America also offers the opportunityto add a bunch of british Harriers from Falklands war. Central America also allows to drop in some Migs from Cuba.

Just saying...

I like this idea - I ran an 'African Air Forces' GB over on ARC a few years ago which was well supported.

Agreed. In addition to kits, if doing a regional GB, markings need to be available.

Fair enough Brad...it would be limited from a "kit" based perspective.....maybe I will do a scratchbuilt FMA I.Ae. 37 and cover both bases.... hehehe. An experimental prototype built in Argentina !

Ha Ha! How about a Group Build on just one plane and one manufacture? I'm thinking, building the Revell 1/32 P-51B, OOB. NO PE, NO Resin, NO Scratch building,  just aftermarket decals allowed. Built straight OOB! Some may view this as torture, but it sure would be interesting! LOL! I only think of this due to all the "lamentations" on not having a decent P-51B!  Who knows, maybe this sacrificial build to the plastic gods may merit some manufacture to take pitty on us builders and make us a great P-51B! LOL!

How about the 70th anniversary of the formation of the USAF? I know some of you like to do unusual markings and aircraft, but stars and bars would be different for some anyway.  Maybe the 1947 onwards would be too limiting?

There was a 90th anniversary of the RAF group build but I guess that covered a longer period and more varied aircraft.

Just a thought.

How about building a diorama with a 1/32 aircraft? Can be simple: a jet with all kinds of equipment around it, or a WW2 aircraft with the crew contemplating about their mission while looking at some bullet holes in the rear fuselage.

We've had a lot of good ideas from the "aircraft transportation" topic too. Or a factory scene, maintenance, landing mishap, a WW1 aircraft in a tree, a Navy jet landing, ... Could be good to try out some new techniques too!

Maybe?
